POSITION TITLE Learning Experience Designer POSITION SUMMARY The LX Designer will apply instructional design concepts and methodologies in the conceptualization and development of learning solutions. The LX Designer will contribute to the development and maintenance of high-quality training content. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES Learning Experience Analysis and Design Conduct learning needs analysis to uncover learning needs Gather data using different methods, including (but not limited to) coordination with experts (e.g., Quality), facilitation of stakeholder interviews, job shadowing, and online research Complete different types of analysis, as may be required and appropriate given project requirements Learner analysis Task analysis Performance analysis Context analysis Content analysis Summarize gaps discovered during analysis Define project goals and desired learning outcomes Define required knowledge, skills, and behaviors to close gaps identified during analysis Formulate project goals Formulate terminal learning objectives Formulate corresponding enabling objectives Determine measures of success Define appropriate evaluation strategies Define appropriate and effective learning solutions Distribute learning outcomes to appropriate units of learning (i.e., scaffolding or chunking) Map appropriate learning experiences and/or interactions to desired learning outcomes Align content to prescribed objectives Work w/ the Sr. LX Designer to present learning solution recommendations and gain stakeholders buy-in Define proposed learning solutions Determine high-level effort and timeline estimates Present analysis findings and recommendations Gather stakeholder feedback and enhance recommendations as needed Gain stakeholders approval to proceed with development of proposed learning solutions Learning Experience Development Write learning content for various delivery methods, including (but not limited to): Storyboards for various types of videos and interactive materials ranging in complexity Scenario maps for role-plays and process simulations Facilitator notes and slides for instructor-led training delivery Formative and summative assessments Static materials to supplement training, such as job aids Work with the content writers to write storyboards & training copy aligned to learning objectives & stated business objectives Conduct SME consultations, as needed, to gather learning content and validate their accuracy Develop basic interactive lessons using appropriate authoring tools Learning Experience Implementation Coordinate with LMS administrators for course setup, configuration, uploads, and reporting requirements Work w/ the LXD to manager to communicate w/ stakeholders and their teams to ensure their readiness to deliver learning solutions Organize and prepare developed collateral for hand-off Project Management Participate in various meetings, including (but not limited to) discovery sessions, stakeholder interviews, internal and external project kick-offs, SME consultations, project syncs, project retrospectives, etc. Scope level of effort, determine timelines, and plan resources and tasks needed to meet project goals Create and maintain project plans and trackers Monitor project progress Coordinate efforts with involved team members, stakeholders, SMEs, and others involved in assigned projects Communicate progress, raise issues, risks, and help needed items as needed Others Contribute to internal continuous improvement efforts by participating in project retrospectives and process improvement initiatives The success of the LX Designer will be measured through: On-time delivery of assigned deliverables/on-time completion of assigned projects Overall quality of delivered output Diligence in completing administrative tasks Results of learning solutions deployed (assessments, behavior, performance, etc) Feedback from key stakeholders (requestor satisfaction) Feedback from learners (learner satisfaction) Disclaimer Work from office is mandatory with rotational shifts and offs. Immediate joiners will be prioritized. EDUCATION Bachelors degree in Instructional Design or closely related course, or equivalent experience. WORK EXPERIENCE 2 to 3 years experience in designing learner-centered training programs and developing related training materials Working knowledge of adult learning, instructional design, and evaluation principles and practices Experience drafting measurable goals and objectives, particularly in the field of training Experience developing learning assessments TECHNICAL SKILLS E-Learning Authoring Tools: Proficiency in using industry-standard e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise, or similar tools to create interactive and engaging digital content. Learning Management Systems (LMS): Familiarity with learning management systems to manage, deliver, and track e-learning courses. Knowledge of popular LMS platforms like Moodle, Blackboard, Canvas, or similar systems. Multimedia Development: Skills in multimedia development, including graphic design, video editing, and audio production to enhance the visual and auditory components of e-learning courses. Adaptive Learning Technologies: Awareness of adaptive learning technologies that personalize the learning experience based on individual learner needs. E-Learning Standards and Protocols: Understanding of e-learning standards such as SCORM (Sharable Content Object Reference Model) and xAPI (Experience API) to ensure interoperability and tracking capabilities. OTHER SKILLS Demonstrated ability to make decisions by using logic to identify key facts, explore alternatives and propose quality solutions Demonstrated ability to communicate information and ideas clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing Demonstrated ability to interact with peers, management, and other departments in a professional manner Strong organizational and interpersonal management skills Ability to manage time effectively and efficiently Self-motivated and directed with keen attention to detail ** Work from office is mandatory with rotational shifts and offs.
