Job Description

As an Infrastructure Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Infrastructure Platforms team, you will utilize your strong knowledge of software, applications, and technical processes within the infrastructure engineering discipline. You will apply your technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to projects of moderate scope, focusing on improving the data and systems running at scale while ensuring end-to-end monitoring of applications. **Key Responsibilities:** - Apply technical knowledge and problem-solving methodologies to projects of moderate scope, focusing on improving data and systems running at scale - Ensure end-to-end monitoring of applications - Resolve most nuances and determine appropriate escalation path - Execute conventional approaches to build or break down technical problems - Drive daily activities supporting the standard capacity process applications - Collaborate with other mainframe technical teams to provide architectural and technical guidance - Develop automation, tooling, reports, and utilities to assist in mainframe access administration - Participate in on-call and off-hours technology events **Qualifications Required:** - Formal training or certification on infrastructure disciplines concepts and 3+ years of applied experience - Strong knowledge of infrastructure disciplines such as hardware, networking terminology, databases, storage engineering, deployment practices, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, and performance assessments - Hands-on experience with disaster recovery planning and performing recovery tests - Ability to develop, document, and maintain procedures for system utilities such as backup/restore, performance tuning, and configuration of environments The job also requires strong problem-solving skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and knowledge in programming in REXX or other languages is strongly desired.,
