Key Responsibilities: Must have strong experience (minimum 5 to 7 years) in Mainframe technology (COBOL, DB2, CICS, JCL, VSAM etc.) to Involve in System Testing, SIT, Functional and Regression Testing Test Cases and its execution. Need to Create, Run & execute JCLs in Mainframe, Validate the job status in spool, and have problem solving skills to resolve JCL errors, experience in writing in complex SQL Queries run Mainframe DB post execution. API Testing using Postman / Insomnia with automation capabilities (using TOSCA or any other tool) Execute tests, track and monitor defects/Stories to closure and produce test metrics and test reports Proactively identifying potential delivery related issues and arriving at mitigation plan. Assist the Test Lead/ Manager in project meetings to provide feedback and statistics of the project in relation to the test quality Conduct reviews and inspections of project and test deliverables and provide feedback Implement creative and innovative ways of testing to meet project goals without compromising quality Assist in performing test estimation, test strategy and Test Plan Coordinate, Prepare Test Bed, Test Data for execution Confirm connectivity and readiness of test team Assist Scrum Leads in managing day-to-day testing activities, such as test monitoring and status reporting at the end of the testing day Reverse engineer requirements and develop models as needed to support test automation Ensure reusability and capture of Metrics Prepare project level required metrics and reports Specialized in testing area like functional testing Responsible to conduct SIT, and support to business users during UAT Ensure constructive working relationships within team and with other functional groups Ability to coordinate between BAs, Business and test team Ensure compliance to laid down organization wide process and operations guidelines Hands-on experience in Automation testing tools like TOSCA, Selenium and able to implement in the project. Required Technical and Professional Experience Sound hands on experience 7+ years as a Batch Job Scheduler (aka Production Control Analyst) and Endevor skills working in Mainframe environments. Review change requests and deploy batch jobs (add/remove/modify) in the Scheduler tool. Good knowledge of JCLs and PROCs Troubleshooting experience - job failures, hung jobs, and remote agent and re source issues, etc. Supporting and maintaining the Scheduling Platform, running on JP1, A-Auto, OPC & Job trac. Create/modify/maintain batch job schedules. Follow change control process for production job promotions. Identify and cleanup decommissioned jobs. Will be responsible to participate in Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings and represent the Production Control team. Subject matter expert responsible for skilled Level 3 activities Resolve complicated issues escalated from Level 2 teams. Perform in-depth Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and support Problem Management activities. Handle Major Incidents and drive SWAT Calls implementing Risk. Implement Level 1 & 2 complex Changes. Identify Continuous Service Improvement (CSI) initiatives to improve the quality of service and reduce the cost of operations through Shift Left Service delivery. Perform / Lead Audit and DR activities. Introducing Automation and CI (continuous improvement) (E.g. health checks, patching, minor repetitive changes) Perform trend analysis on tickets for improvement opportunities on alert handling. Training / mentoring L2 analysts to groom further expertise. Cross-training other members of the team to build more breadth in coverage. Participate in training for new technologies as delivered by the ENG teams for support. Overseeing and participating in documentation maintenance Creation of documentation for each lesson learned by lower-level analysts to utilize in training. Performing ticket quality analysis On-call escalation support and upkeep of On-Call Schedules Overseeing the creation of and sharing the weekly team roster for the team. Knowing escalation paths and expectations for least impacts to business and clients. Acknowledging change tasks for proper content Good documentation - written, communication and verbal skills. Work closely with various Application support, Development, and z/OS Support teams for their batch scheduling requirements. Providing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to determine the facts based on the problem. Understand the Endevor environment, ensuring its stability and efficiency. Implement Endevor processes and procedures to support software development and deployment. Collaborate with development teams to integrate Endevor into their workflows. Troubleshoot issues related to Endevor and mainframe systems. Provide training and support to team members on Endevor best practices. Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards. Preferred Technical and Professional Experience Check each system for outstanding messages and or batch abends on a regular basis. Scan batch output to find actual cause of failure. Able Identify task or issues that can be improved and send ticket to the correct team. Able to determine quickly the severity of a problem and make appropriate escalations. Ability to communicate effectively and consistently with all levels of the organization, and to work independently without direct supervision. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail. Experience with other mainframe tools and technologies. Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies.
