Job Description

History/data collection of patients.
Imparting training to staff and new joinees like technicians, housekeeping, medical officers, nurses, attendants
Adhering to the procedures of nursing
Continous check on hand hygiene, biomedical waste management, HAI(Hospital Acquired Infections), vaccinations and others
Taking daily rounds for cleanliness supervision, staff grooming etc
Strict follow up of infection control practices and their implementation
Prescribing solutions that should be used for disinfection of wards, fumigation of rooms, OTs, lobbies etc
Surveillance or culture check up for infections i.e air culture and water culture
Preparing agenda, minutes of meeting for routine and quaterly held meetings
Filling of audit sheet on the basis of infection control practices/guidelines like hand hygiene, PPE etc
Any other responsibility assigned from time to time

Desired Candidate Profile

1-4 years of experience as an Infection Control Nurse or related field.
B.Sc (Nursing) degree from a recognized institution, and Certification courses/ training in infection control
Strong knowledge of ICn principles, nursing education, and infection control practices.
