Indirect Tax - Litigation - Associate

As an Associate - Indirect Tax based in Nagpur, you must hold a Qualified CA qualification with at least 2 years of relevant post-qualification experience in indirect tax, particularly in GST and Customs. Your primary responsibilities will include managing tax-related activities such as preparing submissions, responding to notices, representing the company in front of tax authorities and appeals, and conducting meetings with seniors. Additionally, you will be expected to conduct thorough research and analysis of legal provisions, draft advisories, opinions, and compliance reports, and create presentations for client meetings, trainings, and seminars. You will be analyzing client data to estimate tax impacts on business transactions, developing scenarios to identify the most tax-efficient business models, and contributing through articles and monographs. In terms of client service delivery, you should be able to proactively address technical issues with clients while considering firm risk issues, manage work across multiple clients, and build relationships with client management. Furthermore, you are required to stay updated on firm-wide and competitor activities, business trends, and apply this knowledge to deliver effective solutions to clients. You will also be responsible for identifying new opportunities within existing clients, networking internally within the firm, and maintaining a legal database with the latest developments. Lastly, you should be capable of mentoring and guiding Associates in their work, demonstrating strong commercial acumen, and continuously updating your legal knowledge base with circulars, notifications, and decisions.,
