Key Responsibilities

• Structure editorial content and develop product/authoring templates
• Create scripts and programs to automate content flow into templates
• Design, develop, and maintain automation tools for Adobe InDesign using

  ExtendScript, Adobe UXP

  , and related technologies
• Automate production processes including:
• InDesign (INDD) file creation
• Batch image manipulation and optimization
• Generation of HTML, JSON, and XML outputs
• Integration of editorial content with structured data formats
• Collaborate with editorial, design, and production teams to identify automation opportunities
• Implement and support structured content workflows (DITA XML or similar frameworks)
• Enable seamless data exchange between InDesign, XML, and other content systems
• Ensure smooth integration of automation tools into existing production pipelines
• Provide technical documentation, training, and ongoing support
• Stay current with Adobe technologies and automation trends
• Assist with exploratory projects using

  Node.js, Python

  , and other tools

Required Skills & Experience

• 4+ years of experience in editorial or production automation
• Expert-level knowledge of

  Adobe InDesign

  and Adobe Creative Suite
• Strong expertise in

  ExtendScript

  for InDesign automation
• Proficiency in

  XML

  (structured and semi-structured data)
• Experience automating editorial and production workflows
• Strong problem-solving skills with a production-focused mindset

Nice to Have:

• Experience with

  DITA XML

  or structured authoring frameworks
• Familiarity with

  CMI5, QTI, SCORM

  , or other learning content standards
