Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Payment Tester with handson experience in both manual and automated testing, in the domain of payment systems (e.g., SWIFT, ISO 20022, SEPA, RTGS, ACH, Target 2 etc.). The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of endtoend payment flows and will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of payment processing applications through robust test planning, execution, and automation.

Develop, review, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for payment systems.

Validate payment messages (SWIFT MT/MX, ISO 20022, NACHA, etc.) for correctness, format, and compliance.

Perform functional , regression, integration, and system testing across payment applications.

Implement automated test cases using tools like Selenium, UFT, RestAssured , or similar.

Design and maintain test automation frameworks and scripts for backend and UI testing.

Participate in defect triage, root cause analysis, and provide timely resolution support.

Collaborate with crossfunctional teams (developers, product managers, business analysts) to understand payment flows and system impacts.

Support continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines with automated test suites.

Ensure traceability between test cases, requirements, and defects.

Required Skills & Qualifications

58 years dedicated experience in payment domain testing

Solid understanding of payment processing flows SWIFT, ISO 20022 (e.g., pacs.008, camt.053), SEPA, ACH, CHAPS, etc.

Strong experience with test automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#).

Experience with API testing tools like Postman, SoapUI, or RestAssured .

Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM, TestRail).

Knowledge of message validation tools and simulators used in payment testing.

Experience in Agile/Scrum development environments.

Nice to Have

Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter).

Familiarity with DevOps tools (Jenkins, Git, Docker).

ISTQB or relevant testing certification.
