Import Export Coordinator

As an Import Export Coordinator at our Perth-based company engaged in sustainable recycling and resource recovery, your role will involve: - Coordinating with logistics departments for allocation and scheduling. - Managing customs clearance procedures and ensuring accurate data entry. - Handling import demurrage processes, including agreements and coordination. - Overseeing the complete booking process and planning of land transportation. - Executing full import documentation processes and ensuring compliance. - Managing customer communication via email from notification to release. - Coordinating cross-trade shipments, including document issuance, billing, and charge collection. - Providing proactive customer service and ensuring timely updates and follow-ups. Qualifications required for this role include: - Minimum 1 year of professional experience in freight forwarding, shipping, or liner agency operations. - Commercial mindset with a proven ability to manage documentation and logistics independently. - Strong communication skills and business English proficiency (spoken and written). - Hands-on knowledge of customs documentation and clearance processes (preferred). - Team player with a proactive, flexible, and problem-solving attitude. - Strong organizational and multitasking skills with an eye for process improvement.
