Job Description

Credentialing Associate US Healthcare

Experience:

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in processing credentialing and re-credentialing applications for providers and facilities.
Maintain accurate records of credentialing applications, licensure, and contract documents in CAQH, PECOS, and other relevant systems.
Track the status of credentialing applications and follow up with payers or internal teams to expedite processing.
Support the team in reviewing payer contracts and flagging critical terms or issues for the management or practice administrators.
Maintain internal status reports for provider credentialing and communicate updates to the team and managers.
Collect performance data and contribute to productivity and quality reporting.
Assist in resolving credentialing-related client queries and escalate issues as needed.
Collaborate with billing and operations teams to resolve credentialing-related claim denials.
Follow credentialing processes, NCQA guidelines, and internal SOPs consistently and accurately.

Skills & Competencies:

Knowledge of CAQH, PECOS, payer portals, and credentialing requirements.
Attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as in a team.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with sensitive information.
Basic understanding of payer contracts, EDI/ERA/EFT enrollments, and payment gateway setup is a plus.
Organized, proactive, and able to meet deadlines.
