Artificial Intelligence Engineer

Job Title: AI Engineer

• Design, build, and deploy AI/ML models to support healthcare workflows such as

  Patient Intake

• Develop AI-driven workflow engines and automations for end-to-end healthcare operations.
• Optimize models for accuracy, speed, and reliability in real-world production environments.

Patient Intake Flow

• Build and maintain automated solutions to handle patient demographics, insurance capture, consent forms, and intake validation.
• Integrate intake flows with EHR/EMR systems (Epic, Athena, Cerner, or similar).
• Ensure data accuracy, compliance, and error-handling for patient onboarding processes.

Billing Flow

• Develop AI solutions to support claims creation, coding assistance, payment posting, and denial management.
• Automate billing validation checkpoints using machine learning and rules-based logic.
• Work with RCM teams to improve accuracy and turnaround time across billing processes.

Conversational AI

• Build and train conversational AI models (ChatGPT-like systems, NLP pipelines, voicebots & chatbots).
• Create intents, entities, and dialogue flows for patient queries, appointment requests, billing questions, etc.
• Improve natural language understanding (NLU) for more human-like interactions.

Technical Integration & Collaboration

• Work closely with product managers, data engineers, and healthcare domain experts to define requirements.
• Integrate AI systems with APIs, databases, and third-party healthcare platforms.
• Monitor model performance, troubleshoot production issues, and ensure continuous improvement.

Required Skillset & Qualifications

• Strong experience with Python, AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn), and NLP libraries (spaCy, NLTK, Transformers).
• Hands-on experience building

  conversational AI

  using LLMs, RAG, vector databases, or chatbot frameworks.
• Knowledge of healthcare workflows including

  Patient Intake

  Claims/Billing

  ,

  CPT/ICD coding

  , or RCM processes.
• Experience designing workflow automation pipelines or AI-driven decision engines.
• Understanding of REST APIs, JSON, microservices, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to understand healthcare user journeys and convert them into functional AI-based solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with EHR/EMR integrations.
