IGCSE English teacher

To deliver high-quality English language and literature instruction in alignment with the Cambridge IGCSE curriculum for middle school students (typically Grades 6–10). The teacher will foster critical thinking, creativity, and a love for reading and writing among students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging and age-appropriate English lessons aligned with IGCSE standards.
• Teach English Language and Literature, focusing on reading comprehension, writing, grammar, speaking, and listening.
• Develop lesson plans, schemes of work, and assessments in line with IGCSE learning objectives.
• Use a variety of teaching methods and classroom strategies to meet diverse student needs.
• Prepare students for internal assessments and the IGCSE examinations.
• Monitor and track student progress; provide regular feedback to students and parents.
• Create a supportive and positive learning environment that promotes student confidence and participation.
• Collaborate with colleagues in interdisciplinary projects and curriculum development.
• Participate in school events, parent-teacher meetings, and professional development activities.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in English Literature, English Language, or Education.
• B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification (preferred).
• Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience in an international or IGCSE curriculum setting.
• Familiarity with Cambridge IGCSE syllabus and assessment criteria.

Skills & Competencies:

• Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
• Strong classroom management and student engagement skills.
• Ability to differentiate instruction for mixed-ability groups.
• Proficiency in digital teaching tools (Google Classroom, MS Teams, etc.).
• Passion for literature and language, and the ability to inspire the same in students.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
