Department overview:
Chief Transformation Office (CTO) provides project management, test management and business analysis support across Nomura s wholesale banking functions. It is a cross regional and divisional transformation team delivering initiatives related to new regulations, implementing new infrastructure, business expansion, product roll outs and introducing banking controls.
Key Responsibilities and objectives critical to success:
The Test Manager for International Wealth Management (IWM) Programme will be responsible for EndtoEnd Test Management.
- Responsibility for defining, maintaining and executing a welldefined End to End Test Strategy
- Build and Maintain Testing plans with appropriate level of detail. Comfortable challenging teams to ensure plans are realistic and achievable
- Oversight and/ or execution responsibility of all phases of Testing
- Driving Testing across multiple teams in Technology and Business, ensuring the project delivers committed outcomes in the agreed timelines
- Working collaboratively and supporting teams, including active problem solving and management of any risks or issues that arise during delivery.
- Proactively managing and addressing any Testing conflicts, dependencies and scope changes
- Hands on interaction with development, BA and Business teams to ensure a detailed understanding of Testing Approach and Execution status
- Monitoring and providing an honest, transparent assessment of Testing progress with timely reporting of status, issues, risks to various management team and governance forums as appropriate
- Excellent communication skills with ability to adapt approach to stakeholder groups and different levels of seniority across the organization as well as ability to present complex problems in a simple way to drive quick and effective decision making
- Ensuring adherence to Project & Testing governance and control processes throughout the project delivery
Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required:
Essential
- Test Management experience across large complex projects at a financial institution
- Good knowledge of Test Management best practice and expertise in using Test Management Tools and Frameworks
- Solid understanding of the Wealth Management landscape
- Excellent communication skills with ability to adapt approach to different levels of seniority
- Experience working with technology teams to deliver complex solutions across multiple business areas, functions and locations
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy and timeliness of delivery
- Track record of managing requirements, delivery and testing in a fast paced environment
Desirable
- Prior experience in Wealth Management is desired but not essential for this role
- Experience with Avaloq platform
- Exposure to Online Trading Platform
- Detailed understanding of Investment Banking Products and Services
