Job Description – HVAC Operator (Pharma Industry)Job Title: HVAC Operator Department: Engineering / Utilities Reports To: Utility/Engineering Supervisor or Manager Experience: 1–3 years (Pharma Industry preferred) Location: [Company Location] Roles & ResponsibilitiesOperate, monitor, and maintain HVAC systems, including chillers, AHUs (Air Handling Units), FCUs (Fan Coil Units), ducting, and ventilation systems. Ensure proper functioning of HVAC systems to maintain controlled temperature, humidity, and air quality as per GMP requirements. Perform daily checks of operating parameters like temperature, pressure, and airflow. Support preventive and breakdown maintenance of HVAC equipment. Coordinate with engineering/maintenance teams during system shutdowns, startups, and repairs. Maintain logs, checklists, and equipment history records as per SOP. Follow safety guidelines and GMP standards during operations. Assist in validation activities of HVAC systems (if required). Required Skills & CompetenciesDiploma/ITI in Mechanical, Electrical, or Refrigeration & Air Conditioning. Hands-on knowledge of HVAC systems, chillers, AHUs, ducts, filters, and automation controls (BMS preferable). Understanding of cleanroom classifications, differential pressures, and GMP requirements. Ability to troubleshoot HVAC-related issues. Basic understanding of preventive maintenance practices. Good record-keeping, teamwork, and communication skills. Flexibility to work in shifts.
