The role holder will be a part of Sai University, India's first international university, statutorily established by the Tamil Nadu State Legislature vide the Sai University Act, 2018 (Act No. 42 of 2018) and as per section 2(f) of the University Grants Commission (UGC) Act.
The incumbent will have fun working with a fast-paced team on a vision that can change our current Education system. As the team is small, he/she will easily be able to see the direct impact of his/her work on our team and in the field of Education itself.
Attract, enable, engage, and retain top talents for our University.
Design and update the job description on websites and other job boards.
Source and Screen relevant resumes and application forms.
Interview candidates (via phone, video, and in-person) and align interviews with hiring managers.
Draft all offer letters, employment contracts, and appropriate paperwork for the new hire.
Collaborate with management to identify future hiring needs.
Develop and implement HR policies throughout the organization.
Process employees' queries and respond in a timely manner.
Facilitate and coordinate timely engagement activities, maintaining a healthy employee experience.
Plan monthly, quarterly, and annual performance review sessions.
Employee Database Management, Responsible for HR Documentation-Onboarding Documents, Attendance and Leave Management, Competency Development, Performance Management, and Compensation and Benefits
Excellent communication skills
Excellent PowerPoint and content creation skills.
Professional demeanour & friendly/congenial personality.
Flexibility in the work being done.
Incumbent will be dealing with a dynamic team and environment, and hence, would need to adapt and learn quickly.
Ability to easily align with the small, close-knit team across functions like Finance, Operations, Admissions & Outreach, and Academics at SaiU.
Master's Degree in Human Resources/Social Work or any other related field.
Internship Experience with Start-ups is preferred but not mandatory.
Exposure to Compliance regulations is desirable.
