HTML Programmer

• An HTML Programmer (or Developer) builds and maintains website structures using HTML, CSS, and often JavaScript, translating designs into functional, responsive, and accessible web pages, ensuring cross-browser compatibility, optimizing performance, debugging issues, and collaborating with designers and backend teams to create user-friendly experiences. Key duties involve coding semantic HTML, styling with CSS, integrating interactivity with JavaScript, testing, and keeping up with web standards. Key Responsibilities
• Coding & Development: Create and maintain website structure, content, and functionality using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Design Implementation: Translate UI/UX designs and mockups into pixel-perfect, functional web pages.
• Responsiveness & Compatibility: Ensure websites work flawlessly across different devices (mobile, desktop) and browsers (cross-browser testing).
• Performance Optimization: Optimize web pages for maximum speed, scalability, and SEO.
• Collaboration: Work closely with designers to implement visuals and backend developers for functionality integration.
• Testing & Debugging: Troubleshoot and fix errors, ensuring high quality and usability.
• Maintenance: Update existing sites and adhere to web standards (like W3C).
• Essential Skills & Qualifications
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
• Understanding of Responsive Design and mobile-first principles.
• Familiarity with web accessibility (ARIA) and SEO best practices.
• Knowledge of design tools (like PSD to HTML) and version control (like Git).
• Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and communication skills.
