Job Description

As an HRBP cum Labor Officer, your primary responsibility will be to ensure compliance with labour laws, statutory regulations, and audit requirements. You will be tasked with managing employee relations, grievances, and disciplinary procedures, as well as driving welfare initiatives and maintaining safe, compliant working conditions. It will be crucial for you to align HR policies with business needs through regular stakeholder engagement and lead organizational change to support the People & Culture strategy. Additionally, you will analyze HR metrics to develop data-driven solutions and policies and advise leadership on HR aspects of business strategies and decisions. Staying updated on employment laws and ensuring legal compliance will also be part of your role, along with supporting workforce planning, upskilling, multiskilling, and succession planning. Championing employee experience through innovative HR practices, handling talent acquisition, engagement, retention, and exit processes, and communicating and implementing HR policies across the organization will be essential. You will also be responsible for developing contracts for new hires, promotions, and transfers, maintaining high employee morale and productivity through engagement initiatives, conducting training on labour rights and compliance, and performing any additional duties as assigned. The ideal candidate for this position should possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in human resources, preferably an MSW (Master of Social Work) with specialization in HR, along with 5-10 years of experience in a similar role. Excellent Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills, fluency in English (preferably in Tamil as well), excellent organization and time management skills, knowledge of Outlook mail, and experience dealing with off-site team members are required hard skills. Additionally, having sound knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and best practices, as well as employee and labor relations, is crucial. In terms of soft skills, you should be a proven self-starter with the ability to create and implement a vision, possess good communication skills (written, verbal, and presentational), have first-class interpersonal skills, and prioritize loyalty, liability, and integrity. A proactive and resilient attitude, along with the ability to cope with a pressurized environment, adaptability, and being a team player while also being able to solve problems and work independently, are highly valued. A flexible attitude that allows you to adapt to and manage change will also be key in this role.,
