Job Title: Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP)

Utkarsh Classes is a fast-growing EdTech company dedicated to offering high-quality coaching and educational content. We believe in fostering talent and building a motivated, skilled, and engaged workforce capable of scaling our outreach and impact.

Role Summary :

The HRBP will act as a strategic partner to business leaders, ensuring HR initiatives are aligned with Utkarsh goals. You'll be a key advisor on all people-related matters borrowing from your deep understanding of HR, operations, business needs, and education sector dynamics to drive performance, retention, and engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic HR Partnership :

    Work closely with department heads (Academic, Marketing, Sales, Operations) to understand their goals and translate them into effective people strategies ; Participate in workforce planning, structuring, and rightsizing decisions.
  • Performance Management & Talent Development :

    Assist in goal setting (KRAs), appraisals, feedback loops, and development plans ; Coach managers for better team performance, conduct reviews, and help improve sub-optimal performance.
  • Employee Engagement & Retention :

    Design and implement engagement initiatives, culture-building activities, recognition programs etc. ; Help monitor attrition, exit feedback, stay interviews, and insights to reduce turnover.
  • Talent Acquisition Support

    :

    Partner with TA/recruitment to ensure hiring plans are on track ; Advise on critical roles and ensure improved hiring effectiveness.

Qualifications & Skills :

  • Bachelors degree in HR, Business Administration or related field. Masters/HR certification (SHRM-CP / PHR / similar) is a plus.
  • 2-4 years of HR experience, ideally with at least 1 years in a business partner/generalist role; experience in EdTech or high-growth companies preferred.
  • Strong understanding of performance management, employee lifecycle, engagement, retention, labour laws, and HR metrics.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, influencing, and coaching skills.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, adaptability, and working under pressure.
