Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Talent Acquisition & Onboarding:

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment processes for plant roles.
  • Conduct onboarding programs to ensure smooth integration of new hires.
  • Collaborate with functional heads to understand workforce needs.

2. Employee Relations & Engagement:

  • Serve as a point of contact for employee grievances and resolve conflicts.
  • Foster a positive workplace culture through engagement initiatives.
  • Conduct regular feedback sessions and employee satisfaction surveys.

3. Training & Development:

  • Identify skill gaps and design relevant training programs.
  • Ensure compliance with mandatory training requirements (e.g., safety training).
  • Support career development and succession planning efforts.

4. HR Operations & Compliance:

  • Manage payroll inputs, attendance, and leave systems for plant employees.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.

5. Performance Management:

  • Facilitate the performance review process for plant staff.
  • Provide guidance to managers on performance improvement plans.
  • Drive initiatives to recognize and reward employee contributions.

6. Health, Safety & Welfare:

  • Partner with EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) teams to ensure a safe workplace.
  • Promote employee well-being programs, such as health check-ups and counseling.

7. HR Strategy & Analytics:

  • Analyze HR metrics (e.g., turnover rates, absenteeism) and present actionable insights.
  • Contribute to the development of HR policies and strategies for the plant.
  • Ensure alignment of HR practices with organizational objectives.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelors/Master’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • years of experience in HR, with at least [Y] years in a manufacturing/plant environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in HRMS/HRIS systems and MS Office Suite.

Preferred Skills:

  • Certification in HR (e.g., SHRM, CIPD, or equivalent) is a plus.
  • Experience in managing unionized workforces (if applicable).
  • Familiarity with Lean/Six Sigma methodologies for HR process improvement
