Housekeeping Supervisor

Location: VGP Heritage Resort, Injambakkam, Chennai

Job Summary:
The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily housekeeping operations of the resort to ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and a pleasant environment for guests and staff. The role involves supervising housekeeping staff, maintaining standards, and ensuring smooth execution of all cleaning and maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise, train, and guide housekeeping staff to deliver high-quality service.
• Assign daily duties and inspect guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house, and staff accommodations.
• Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed as per resort standards.
• Monitor housekeeping supplies, linen, and guest amenities; raise requisitions when required.
• Handle guest complaints related to housekeeping promptly and professionally.
• Conduct regular inspections to maintain hygiene, safety, and maintenance standards.
• Prepare duty rosters and manage staff schedules to ensure coverage.
• Coordinate with Front Office and Maintenance for room readiness and repairs.
• Ensure compliance with resort policies, SOPs, and safety standards.
• Motivate the team and maintain discipline among staff.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Proven experience as Housekeeping Supervisor or similar role in hotels/resorts.
• Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and safety standards.
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Education & Experience:

• Diploma/degree in Hotel Management or related field preferred.
• Minimum 2–3 years of housekeeping experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
