Housekeeping Supervisor

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the housekeeping staff to maintain clean, orderly, and attractive rooms and common areas in the hotel or establishment. You will supervise staff, assign tasks, conduct inspections, and ensure adherence to cleanliness standards. Your main responsibilities will include scheduling shifts, assigning tasks, training new employees, and monitoring progress. You will also conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and common areas to ensure cleanliness standards are met, address any issues promptly, and ensure all rooms are maintained up to standards. In addition, you will be responsible for managing inventory of cleaning supplies, ordering supplies as needed, and tracking their usage to avoid wastage. You will also ensure that all housekeeping activities comply with health and safety regulations, conduct safety training for staff, and report any maintenance issues or repairs needed. Your role will also involve interacting with guests to handle inquiries or issues, ensuring a positive guest experience, maintaining accurate records of housekeeping activities, preparing reports on performance, and assisting in budget preparation and cost control. The ideal candidate should have previous housekeeping experience, preferably in a supervisory role, and experience in the hospitality industry is highly desirable. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and additional certification in hospitality management or housekeeping is a plus.
