Housekeeping Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise Housekeeping Staff:

• Lead, train, and evaluate housekeeping staff.
• Assign daily tasks and ensure they are completed on time.
• Monitor performance and provide feedback.

Cleaning and Sanitation:

• Ensure all hospital areas (e.g., patient rooms, bathrooms, common areas) are clean and sanitized.
• Follow hospital infection control standards to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.

Manage Cleaning Machines:

• Oversee the use and maintenance of cleaning equipment (e.g., floor scrubbers, vacuums, steam cleaners).
• Train staff on how to use machines safely and efficiently.
• Ensure all machines are functioning properly and arrange repairs when needed.

Inventory and Supplies:

• Keep track of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring stock levels are maintained.
• Order new supplies when needed and ensure safe storage of cleaning chemicals.

Health and Safety:

• Ensure staff use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety protocols.
• Make sure all cleaning processes meet hospital safety and infection control guidelines.

Quality Control:

• Regularly check hospital areas to ensure they are clean and well-maintained.
• Address any cleanliness issues or complaints from patients, staff, or visitors.

Staff Training and Development:

• Provide ongoing training on cleaning standards and the use of equipment.
• Support staff development and encourage teamwork.

Coordination with Other Departments:

• Work with other hospital departments to meet special cleaning needs.
• Assist in preparation for inspections and audits.

Administrative Duties:

• Keep records of staff schedules, cleaning tasks, and equipment usage.
• Report on housekeeping activities to management.

Skills:

• Knowledge of cleaning machines and equipment.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage time effectively.
• Understanding of infection control and safety procedures.

Qualifications & Experience:

• 1 to 2 year of supervisory or team lead experience.

· HSC, Bachelor’s degree, Diploma related field

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
