House Butler/Manager

Job Title: Butler & House Manager
Location: Surat (with occasional travel as required)

About the Role

Our client seeks a highly professional Butler & House Manager to oversee the smooth functioning of their residence in Surat. Since the principal is present only for one month in a year, the role will extend beyond traditional butler responsibilities and include day-to-day house management, staff coordination, and property upkeep throughout the year.

Key Responsibilities

• Butler Duties (when the client is in residence):

  • Provide seamless front-of-house service including table setting, serving food & beverages, and attending to guest requirements.

  • Oversee wardrobe management, packing/unpacking, and personal assistance to the principal.

  • Maintain high service standards ensuring discretion, etiquette, and attention to detail.

• House Manager Duties (year-round):

  • Manage household staff, ensuring proper training, scheduling, and performance.

  • Oversee property maintenance, liaise with vendors, and ensure the residence is always guest-ready.

  • Handle household budgets, petty cash, and vendor payments with accountability.

  • Coordinate travel logistics, reservations, and arrangements as required.

  • Implement SOPs for cleanliness, security, and smooth functioning of the residence.

  • Act as the single point of contact between the family and staff in the principal’s absence.

Requirements

• Prior experience as a Butler / House Manager in a private household or luxury hospitality setup.

• Strong organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

• Excellent knowledge of service etiquette and guest management.

• Flexible to travel as per the client’s requirements.

• Discreet, trustworthy, and capable of handling sensitive information.
