Job Title: Front Office Executive (Receptionist) – Hotel Ajanta, Paharganj, New Delhi

About Hotel Ajanta

Hotel Ajanta is a well-established, high-occupancy hotel located near New Delhi Railway Station, serving domestic and international guests for many years. The property is known for its professional service, guest-centric approach, and fast-paced front office operations.

Role Overview

The Front Office Executive will be the face of the hotel at the reception. The role involves handling guest check-in/check-out, managing reservations, coordinating with internal departments, and ensuring a smooth and pleasant guest experience at all times.

Note: Candidates currently based in Delhi/NCR will be preferred as accommodation is not provided for this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests warmly and manage check-in and check-out processes efficiently.
  • Handle walk-in guests, room allocation, and room changes as per availability and guest requirements.
  • Manage reservations through phone, email, OTAs (Booking.com, MakeMyTrip, Goibibo, etc.) and walk-ins.
  • Answer guest queries promptly and professionally (in-person and over phone/WhatsApp).
  • Coordinate with Housekeeping, F&B, and other departments for smooth operations.
  • Handle billing, payment posting, and maintain accurate records in the PMS/software.
  • Resolve guest complaints at front desk level where possible and escalate when required.
  • Maintain front office area decorum, grooming standards, and hotel SOPs at all times.
  • Prepare daily reports, handovers, and support night/other shift operations as needed.

Candidate Requirements

Must-Have:

  • Proven experience as Front Office Executive / Receptionist / Guest Service Associate in a hotel or similar role (hospitality experience preferred).
  • Good communication skills in English and Hindi – spoken and basic written.
  • Strong guest-handling skills, polite attitude, and presentable grooming.
  • Basic computer knowledge; experience with hotel PMS / reservation software is an added advantage.
  • Comfortable with rotational shifts (morning/evening/night), including weekends and holidays.

Preferred:

  • Candidates currently residing in Delhi/NCR (Central/West/North/South Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad, Gurgaon etc.) – as no staff accommodation is provided for this role.
  • Prior experience in budget/boutique hotels or properties near railway station/airport areas.
  • Knowledge of OTAs (Booking.com, MMT, Goibibo, Agoda, etc.) and basic understanding of front office operations.

Qualification

  • Minimum 12th pass; Graduate or Diploma in Hotel Management / Hospitality will be an added advantage.

Work Schedule

  • Full-time, 9-hour rotational shifts (including break).
