Hostel Warden

As the Hostel Administrator, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the hostel, ensuring maintenance, cleanliness, and security are maintained at all times. You will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with university policies and regulations within the hostel premises. Your role will also involve acting as a mentor and guide to students, addressing their concerns, and providing support when needed. Creating a positive and inclusive living environment that fosters academic and personal growth will be a key aspect of your responsibilities. Discipline and safety within the hostel are paramount. You will enforce rules and regulations to maintain order, conduct regular inspections to uphold safety standards, including fire safety and emergency preparedness. Handling disciplinary issues and conflicts among students in a fair and timely manner will be part of your duties. Supervising and coordinating the work of hostel staff, including security personnel, housekeeping, and maintenance teams, will be essential. Conducting regular staff meetings to ensure efficient operations and address any concerns that may arise will also be part of your role. Emergency management is a critical aspect of the position. You will be required to be available on-call to handle emergencies such as medical situations, security breaches, or other crises. Liaising with university authorities, local law enforcement, and medical services as needed will be necessary to ensure the safety and well-being of the hostel residents. Maintaining accurate records of hostel occupancy, incidents, and maintenance activities is vital. You will be responsible for preparing and submitting regular reports to the university administration on hostel operations and student welfare. This is a full-time position with benefits that include cell phone reimbursement and provided food. The work schedule is during the day shift, and there is a performance bonus offered.
