Hostel Administrator

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day hostel operations, accommodation, cleanliness, maintenance, and mess facilities.
• Ensure timely upkeep of hostel facilities, rooms, and common areas.
• Coordinate with housekeeping, security, and maintenance staff.
• Oversee meal arrangements and ensure quality, hygiene, and timely service in the mess/cafeteria.
• Ensure safety, security, and discipline across hostel premises and enforce hostel rules and regulations.
• Address student/resident grievances and provide counseling support.
• Manage hostel records, occupancy and reporting.
• Supervise wardens, caretakers, housekeeping, and kitchen staff.
• Liaise with vendors and ensure upkeep of hostel infrastructure.
• Ensure implementation of safety and security protocols (fire safety, entry/exit checks, visitor management).
• Conduct regular inspections of hostel premises to identify and address potential risks.

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate in Administration/Management/Hospitality (Master’s preferred).
• 3–7 years of experience in hostel administration or facility management.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of safety/security protocols and hostel regulations.
• Proficiency in MS Office and record-keeping.

Work Environment:

• Hostel premises (residential or non-residential depending on role).
• May require availability during evenings, weekends, and emergencies.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per year
