Project Description – GenAI
The GenAI project focuses on
process automation
and the improvement of straight-through processing in claims management. The objective is to increase efficiency in claims handling by transferring more processes into straight-through processing and establishing new automated processes to reduce processing times. AI development may also be applied in this context.The project is structured according to the
OneEssential
project phases.English is mandatory, as the requested resources will complement existing teams in India and Germany.
Role: Developer – Process Automation
The developer will work in the area of process automation with a strong focus on host development and potential application of AI. The role involves Cobol and JCL programming, documentation, and DV testing. The project roadmap is continuously updated and reflected in the backlog, so flexibility in adapting to evolving requirements is required.
Main Responsibilities
As a Host/Cobol Developer, your primary responsibility will be to enhance process automation through effective programming and collaboration. Key responsibilities include:
- Cobol and JCL programming in the host environment
- Support integration of AI capabilities where applicable
- Documentation of developed solutions
- Execution of DV tests
- Contribution to backlog items as the roadmap evolves
- Collaboration with requirements engineering and testing teams
Key Requirements
Candidates must meet the following qualifications:
- Strong background in host development (Cobol)
- Knowledge of AI concepts and application in automation
- Experience with client development (C++, C#)
- Additional skills in web services (Java, .NET) desired
- Cloud knowledge (AWS) is an advantage
Nice to Have
Additional complementary skills include:
- Proficient understanding of software development life cycle
- Experience working in agile environments
- Familiarity with automated testing practices
Other Details
The position is located in India and requires a full-time engagement for the duration of 210 working days from 01.01.2026 to 31.12.2026. Collaboration with international project teams in Germany and India is essential, and proficiency in English is mandatory.
