Hospital MSW

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Medical Social Worker (MSW) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be a fresher or have up to 1 year of relevant experience. The role involves working closely with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to provide psychosocial support, facilitate patient care, and promote overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess the social, emotional, and financial needs of patients and their families.
• Provide counseling and emotional support to patients dealing with trauma, chronic illness, or terminal conditions.
• Assist patients and families in understanding and coping with diagnoses and treatment plans.
• Facilitate communication between patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Help coordinate discharge planning, rehabilitation, home care, and follow-up services.
• Connect patients to community resources, NGOs, government schemes, and financial aid if needed.
• Maintain accurate case notes and documentation in accordance with hospital protocols.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to patient care planning.
• Educate patients and families on health-related topics and promote mental health awareness.
• Support hospital programs such as patient welfare initiatives, awareness campaigns, or social services.

Required Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from a recognized university.
• Specialization in Medical & Psychiatric Social Work (preferred).
• Fresher or up to 1 year of experience in a hospital, healthcare NGO, or community health project.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Empathy, active listening, and strong interpersonal skills.
• Good communication in English and local language.
• Basic understanding of hospital protocols and patient rights.
• Organizational and time-management abilities.
• Knowledge of local social welfare programs and referral systems.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹13,000.00 - ₹17,000.00 per month
