Horticulturist (Indoor Plant Maintenance Supervisor)

As a skilled and knowledgeable Horticulturist, you will be responsible for overseeing and supervising the maintenance of indoor plants at various client locations. Your expertise in indoor plant care will be crucial in managing a team to ensure the health and aesthetic appeal of the plants. Your key responsibilities will include supervising maintenance activities such as watering, pruning, grooming, and fertilization conducted by the maintenance team. You will monitor plant health regularly to identify pests, diseases, and stress symptoms, providing necessary guidance for treatments. Training and guiding maintenance staff on best practices, pest management, and soil maintenance will also be part of your role. Maintaining quality assurance by conducting regular inspections, record-keeping of plant health and maintenance schedules, and effective client communication to address inquiries and provide guidance are essential. You will collaborate with the landscaping team for new installations, replacements, and design improvements while managing inventory supplies like fertilizers, pesticides, and potting materials. To qualify for this role, you should have a bachelor's degree or diploma in Horticulture, Agriculture, Botany, or a related field. Experience in indoor plant maintenance or horticultural supervision is preferred but freshers are also welcome. Strong knowledge of indoor plant species, care techniques, and pest management, leadership and team management skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail are required.
