Home Room Teacher- Grade 1

As a Home Room Teacher for Grade 1, your main responsibility will be to teach, manage the classroom effectively, and establish strong relationships with both students and their families. In terms of teaching, you will be required to meticulously plan and execute lessons using various instructional materials. It is important to employ diverse teaching strategies to enhance student learning outcomes. Regular assessment of student work and providing progress reports are integral parts of this role. Ensuring that students have a clear understanding of the curriculum is also crucial. Building relationships with students is key to your success in this role. You should make an effort to personally get to know each student, fostering an environment where they feel valued and guided morally. Creating a sense of community within the classroom and actively participating in parent-teacher activities are significant aspects of your responsibilities. Being available to parents, displaying empathy, and demonstrating understanding towards both parents and students are essential qualities to embody. Additionally, you will be accountable for maintaining attendance records and tracking academic progress. Reporting student absences and behavioral issues to the head of the program, as well as referring students to pupil services or parents when necessary, are part of your duties. Communicating school-related bulletins and memos to students and providing guidance on time management and conflict resolution are also expected. Your involvement in curriculum planning, implementation, and review is vital. This is a full-time position with a day shift schedule. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of teaching experience and be proficient in English.
