Job Description

Overall responsibility for mechanical maintenance of the unit, ensuring high equipment reliability, minimum unplanned downtime and optimal maintenance costs as per defined KPI, through proactive maintenance practices and endeavors for continuous improvement
Responsible for preparation of annual maintenance budget, ensuring departmental cost within approved numbers, and strategizing avenues for cost saving opportunities
Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for breakdowns and implement permanent corrective actions.
Lead mechanical aspects of capacity enhancement, bottlenecking, modernization, and new projects at the Unit
.
Lead maintenance planning and execution (preventive, predictive, and corrective) in line with established organizational policy, procedures and industry best practices
Ensure adherence to quality and engineering standards in the execution, while strictly conforming to established safety, health and environmental norms at work sites at all times
Collaborate with other Departmental Heads, OEMs and internal experts for design improvements and performance optimization.
Work closely with stores and procurement team to ensure timely availability of required spares, equipment s and materials
Take active part in managing the process of disposal of obsolete machinery and equipment as per applicable environment, safety and quality related regulations
Review daily, weekly & monthly mechanical performance reports, analyze variances, and take timely corrective actions wherever necessary
Lead the team to prepare and follow checklists to check for equipment health on regular intervals
Continuously review and monitor performance of team members, and conduct capability building sessions for team members and departmental contractual workforce
