Hiring: Quality Engineer- QA/QC(AFS) For Premium Manufacturing Company

Role Objective:

To ensure robust incoming material quality, in-process inspection,

product testing, supplier performance improvement, and compliance

with QMS and product regulatory standards, while driving continuous

improvement across quality processes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Incoming Material Inspection & Supplier Quality

• Execute incoming inspection based on component criticality (casting, forging, sheet metal, machining, heat-treated, surface-treated parts).
• Maintain supplier inspection reports and material test certificates (3.1 documentation).
• Collaborate with suppliers for RCCM on rejection cases.
• Prepare incoming inspection plans as per AQL and maintain dynamic sampling plans.
• Support localization and part qualification as per global standards; prepare documentation and obtain parent-company approvals.
• Ensure timely ERP transactions for part acceptance/rejection and provide monthly rejection data for supplier scorecards.
  

2. In-Process Quality & Testing

• Maintain in-process testing setups and ensure 100% product testing against performance parameters.
• Conduct in-process rejection analysis and coordinate corrective actions using FMEA, RCCM, PDCA and Lean tools.
• Perform regular process audits and FMEAs for in-house and supplier processes.
  

3. Customer Quality & Complaint Handling

• Handle customer complaints, perform RCCM, and work towards reducing COPQ.
• Analyse customer complaint data and implement improvement action plans.
• Maintain complaint records for audits and recurrence prevention

4. Quality Management System (QMS)

• Maintain QMS documentation as per ISO 9001:2015.
• Support product regulatory audits and internal ISO audits.
• Maintain calibration schedules for measuring instruments.
  

5. Product Assurance & Final Testing

• Prepare part assurance and surveillance test plans based on criticality.
• Coordinate with third-party labs for testing (destructive/non-destructive).
• Manage customer/third-party witness inspections, Run Tests and FAT.
  

6. Continuous Improvement

• Drive Lean, RCCM, and quality tool-based improvements across incoming, in-process and PDI inspections.
• Identify opportunities through regular audits and analytics to reduce defects.
  

Technical Competencies:

• Lean Fundamentals / FMEA / RCCM

  Working knowledge mandatory.

• Manufacturing, Inspection & Testing Know-How

• Casting, forging, and sheet metal components.
• GD&T, inspection gauges/tools (CMM, Ferro preferred)
• Calibration & testing (destructive & NDT)
• Automated test setups and product traceability (3.1)

• Analytical Techniques

  : Pareto, RCCM, problem-solving tools.

• Computer Skills:

  Proficient in Windows-based applications.
