We are seeking an experienced Senior Instrumentation Engineer to lead the design, specification, and implementation of instrumentation, control systems, and Instrumentation infrastructure for upstream oil & gas facilities. The ideal candidate will have expertise in P&ID interpretation, hazardous area classification, DCS/PLC/SIS systems, with strong knowledge of IEC, NEC, and API standards.

Role and Responsibilities:

Instrumentation & Control Systems:

• Design and specify

  field instruments

  (flow meters, control valves, PSVs, transmitters, switches, analyzers).

• Develop

  instrument lists, datasheets, loop diagrams, and hook-up drawings.

• Review

  P&IDs

  and ensure proper instrumentation integration.

• Design

  DCS/PLC architectures, Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), and ESD/F&G systems.

• Perform

  intrinsically safe circuit verification

  for hazardous areas (ATEX/IECEx).

Compliance & Standards:

• Ensure compliance with

  IEC 60079, NEC/NFPA 70, API RP 500/505, and ISO 9001

  .
• Conduct

  hazardous area classification (Zone/Division)

  and SIL assessments.
• Review

  vendor quotations, FAT/SAT procedures, and technical bid evaluations

  .

Project Execution & Documentation:

• Generate

  BOMs (Bulk MTOs for instruments, cables, junction boxes).

• Support

  construction, commissioning, and troubleshooting.

• Prepare

  installation, testing, and O&M manuals.

• Interface with other disciplines (Piping, Mechanical, Electrical, Process)

Technical Expertise:

• 8+ years

  in

  E&I Design

  for oil & gas, petrochemical, or fuel gas systems

  .
• Experience in

  EPC projects, FEED studies, or plant commissioning

  .

Software & Analysis:

• Expertise in

  AutoCAD, SPI (INtools) (Added Advantage), MS Office

• Familiarity with

  Autodesk Plant 3D/E3D/S3D/Navis Manage

  for 3D modelling review.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• BE/B Tech/ MTech- Electronics & Communications/ Instrumentation & Control Engineering or related field. or a related field (or equivalent)

.Preferred Skills

• Experience in modular skids & packages Industry.
• Familiar with

  EPC workflows

  and Oil & Gas plant design lifecycle
• Ability to mentor junior designers and review drawings for accuracy and compliance.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
