Role & responsibilities

Database Migration Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage
Sybase to Aurora
database migration projects.
Analyze existing database structures and plan migration paths.
Ensure data integrity, performance, and security during migration.
Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams for seamless integration.
Document migration processes and provide post-migration support.

Required Skills & Experience:

5+ years of experience in
database administration and migration
.
Hands-on experience with
Sybase
and
Amazon Aurora, AWS Schema Conversion Tool (SCT) and AWS Database Migration Service (DMS)
.
Strong understanding of
AWS RDS
, performance tuning, and data replication.
Experience with migration tools and scripting for automation.
Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

AWS Certification (e.g., Database Specialty).
Experience with other database platforms (e.g., Oracle, MySQL) is a plus.
Familiarity with cloud security and compliance standards.
