Role Overview:
This leadership role anchors the entire design and development ecosystem of the Cabinetry Cult vertical across India encompassing design direction, product innovation, system development, operational strategy, and full-home design integration. The position functions as a strategic bridge between Design, Technology, Production, Retail, and Visual Merchandising, ensuring that every output from a single cabinet to a complete home reflects Stanleys design ethos of craftsmanship, luxury, and timeless sophistication. The role demands a blend of creative vision, operational acumen, and leadership maturity, driving both the aesthetic direction and process discipline required to scale design excellence across regions while maintaining the soul of the brand.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Design & Operations Management
- Lead the Pan-India Cabinetry Cult operations, aligning creative design intent with technical feasibility and production capabilities.
- Establish and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across design, software, and production functions ensuring every project adheres to process discipline, design quality, and delivery timelines.
- Take end-to-end ownership of design deliverables and their alignment with brand standards, acting as the key bridge between front-end designers and production teams to ensure snag less project.
2. Brand Ethos & Design Philosophy Integration
- Act as the custodian of Stanley's design philosophy, ensuring that the brands ethos of luxury, detail, and craftsmanship is consistently translated across all projects, showrooms, and customer experiences.
- Cascade this design culture to all regional and front-end design teams through regular communication, design reviews, and mentoring, ensuring brand coherence in every client presentation and design output.
- Guide and review high value full-home design pitches to ensure aesthetic alignment, material harmony, and brand storytelling elevating every presentation to reflect Stanleys premium design positioning.
Digital Integration & Workflow Systematization
- Spearhead the development and implementation of software systems for design and production, enabling seamless collaboration, version control, and faster turnaround.
- Oversee the centralized 3D visualization platform, allowing designers across India to upload design files for validated, technically reviewed renders creating a unified national workflow that enhances both design accuracy and customer experience.
4. Product Development & Innovation
- Drive continuous innovation in fixed cabinetry and full-home furniture systems to keep the brand at the forefront of design trends and market demand.
- Lead vendor partnerships to bring in new materials, finishes, and technologies, enriching the brands product and aesthetic vocabulary.
- Define and maintain design standards, product catalogs, and fixed furniture systems, ensuring consistency and scalability across all regions and projects.
5. Retail Design Oversight
- Oversee showroom design and layout planning across all Stanley formats including Stanley Level Next, Stanley Boutique Homes, and Sofas & More — ensuring that space planning, visual flow, and material palettes embody the brand ethos.
- Drive layout planning and cabinetry design for full-home presentations and exhibitions (such as the ID Show), representing the brand and providing technical or aesthetic briefings to architects and designers.
6. Capability Building, Team Development & Talent On boarding
- Build design capability across the organization through structured training programs, empowering teams with catalog mastery, design detailing knowledge, and process understanding.
- Hire, assess, and validate design talent Pan India, ensuring technical and aesthetic proficiency through portfolio evaluation and hands-on design assessments.
- Mentoring designers to maintain creative consistency, technical proficiency, and aesthetic excellence across all customer touchpoints.
- Continuously evolve training modules and design guidelines, ensuring new and existing team members remain aligned with evolving brand standards, processes, and digital tools.
7. Visual Merchandising Alignment
- Collaborate closely with the Visual Merchandising (VM) team to ensure that showroom storytelling, product presentation, and display curation align with the design head’s vision and Stanley’s brand narrative.
- Review and validate VM layouts and displays, ensuring cohesive spatial experiences that merge design intent with visual strategy.
- Serve as the link between design and VM execution, ensuring that every showroom mirrors the brand’s creative and spatial philosophy.
