Job Description

Credit Manager Mass LAP

Role & responsibilities

Assess and underwrite high-value LAP proposals (50 Lacs to 1 Cr) with thorough analysis of financials, business models, cash flows, and repayment capacity.
Conduct credit appraisal of individuals, corporates, and entities including income assessment and debt servicing ability.
Evaluate and approve legal and technical reports of mortgaged properties.
Ensure adherence to internal credit policies, risk parameters, and regulatory guidelines (RBI/NBFC).
Recommend appropriate credit structures, covenants, and security cover based on risk assessment.
Interact with sales, legal, technical, operations, and compliance teams to ensure smooth and timely loan disbursals.
Identify early warning signals in loan portfolios and suggest corrective actions where needed.
Monitor market trends and borrower profiles relevant to LAP business in Chennai and surrounding regions.
Prepare detailed credit appraisal notes for decision-making by senior credit authorities or sanctioning committees.

Preferred candidate profile

Graduate in Commerce/Finance; MBA (Finance) or CA preferred
1015 years of experience in LAP credit underwriting, preferably with Banks, NBFCs, or HFCs
Prior experience in handling high-value LAP transactions is a must
