Summary

Join Evernorths Engineering Acceleration team in the software engineering excellence organization as a Full Stack Engineer. The team build automated solutions and best practices that are fully architected, built and tested repeatable processes and templates.

The role of the Senior Cloud Engineer is an opportunity for a finOps specialist to collaborate with cloud enablement team and work on FinOps (inform, operate, optimize) automations, FinOps policy automation and other optimization opportunities.

Job Description

You will act as an expert on finops tools, strategies and existing automation. You will contribute to finOps roadmap by building automated policies,

The Role:

As a cloud engineer you will;

• Work with app teams to monitor cloud usage and spending data to identify cost-saving opportunities
• Develop and implementing strategies to optimize cloud costs
• Collaborate with finance, operations, and technology teams to drive cost optimization initiatives
• Analyze cloud usage patterns and trends to identify areas for optimization
• Recommend changes to cloud service usage, pricing models, and purchasing options

• Guide and mentor team members on all aspects of FinOps

Skills & Preferred Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience with AWS services
• in depth Terraform knowledge
• Apptio toolset
• Certification desired: Finops practitioner, engineer or similar
• Deep understanding of AWS Budgets / Trusted Advisor
