Job Summary:

Highway Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, plan, and supervise the construction of highways, roads, and related infrastructure.
• Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
• Conduct site surveys, feasibility studies, and traffic assessments.
• Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with design, safety, and environmental standards.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and government agencies for approvals and inspections.
• Perform uality checks on materials and workmanship used in highway projects.
• Review and approve design calculations, construction methods, and work schedules.
• Identify and resolve design and construction issues promptly.
• Ensure adherence to national and international standards (IRC, MoRTH, AASHTO, etc.).
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and site staff.
  

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s in Transportation/Highway Engineering preferred).
• Proven experience (X–Y years) in highway/roadway design and construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of highway design standards, materials, and construction techniques.
• Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MX Road, STAAD, etc.).
• Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks under strict deadlines.
