Job Description

As a Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) professional at Cummins Inc., your role involves maintaining local health and safety policies and procedures, regulatory requirements, and ensuring confidentiality in recordkeeping. You will contribute to building a strong HSE culture within the organization and report any major injury hazards promptly. Your responsibilities also include: - Communicating effectively to raise safety awareness and reporting any work-related injuries, illnesses, incidents, or hazards. - Tracking and reporting monthly metrics to the incident management system and maintaining site health and safety training content. - Coordinating and assisting in the delivery of health and safety training programs, participating in inspection and audit programs, and maintaining training records. - Providing data reports and supporting health, safety, and wellness initiatives. - Coordinating employee engagement initiatives to foster an interdependent culture and following applicable standard work and quality procedures. - Identifying and controlling non-conforming material, performing quality checks, and actively participating in ways to improve quality, safety, and employee development. Qualifications required for this role include: - High school diploma or equivalent experience, with a preference for a degree in Industrial Safety or a related field. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. - Candidates with a degree in environment (bachelor's or master's) and ADIS, along with knowledge in construction safety, will be preferred. In terms of technical skills, you should have an understanding of ergonomic and health and safety fundamentals, as well as knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environment Management Systems. Your soft skills should include being action-oriented, collaborative, communicative, courageous, and accountable. You should also demonstrate self-awareness, decision quality, and situational adaptability. Experience-wise, this role requires some work experience or intermediate-level knowledge obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience.
