Role & responsibilities

Strategic Planning and Execution

• Develop and execute comprehensive testing plans (L1, L2, L3) and schedules for all projects.
• Prepare detailed energization plans outlining timelines and critical steps for safe and efficient implementation.
• Formulate and implement LOTO (Lockout-Tagout) procedures ensuring adherence to safety standards.
• Establish and refine new rules and standards to align with industry trends and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee the development of market strategies for adopting and standardizing new testing protocols.

Team Leadership and Development

• Lead and mentor a team of testing managers to ensure timely and efficient project execution.
• Conduct training sessions for Testing Engineers and Graduate Engineer Trainees (GETs) to enhance technical expertise and procedural understanding.
• Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within the team.
• Develop succession planning strategies to ensure sustained team performance and capability.

Project Monitoring and Site Supervision

• Oversee site progress, ensuring alignment with project timelines and quality standards.
• Regularly review testing and calibration processes, including vendor and newly purchased equipment, to confirm operational health.
• Monitor and update equipment status, ensuring readiness and compliance with project requirements.
• Provide hands-on support during critical project phases to address challenges and drive resolutions.

Quality Assurance and Compliance

• Support internal and external audits, ensuring all testing and commissioning activities meet required standards.
• Generate new test report formats to enhance clarity, accuracy, and usability in reporting.
• Ensure proper documentation and records are maintained for all testing and commissioning activities.
• Implement and enforce quality control measures to uphold high standards in all operations.

Innovation and Market Adaptation

• Stay updated on emerging technologies and practices in testing and commissioning.
• Drive innovation by adopting advanced tools, techniques, and methodologies to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with vendors and stakeholders to procure and integrate new equipment into operations.
• Build relationships with industry leaders and organizations to contribute to market development and standardization efforts.

Preferred candidate profile

1. 20+ years of experience in Testing and Commissioning across industries like power plants, MEP, oil & gas, manufacturing, and commercial projects.

2. Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, commissioning processes, and safety protocols.

3. Expertise in managing large-scale, multidisciplinary projects and implementing LOTO and energization plans

1. Bachelors degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering (Diploma holders with significant experience may be considered).

2. Certifications in Testing and Commissioning (e.g., CTT+, NICET) or safety standards (OSHA/NEBOSH) are preferred.

3. Specialized training in equipment calibration and commissioning software is an advantage.
