Head Specialty Yarn

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

. Formulate and implement long-term strategies for specialty y{ ppducts.

r ldentify and capitalize on new markets, applications, and technological advancements.

• Align the specialty yarn division's objectives with organizational goals.

Operations Management

. Supervise all operations for specialty yarns, including sourcing, spinning, blending, and finishing.

. Manage production planning for bespoke and innovative yarn types (e.9., blended, functional, sustainable, highperformance).

• Oversee and analyze key metrics related to productivity, cost control, lead time, and efficiency.

Product & Process lnnovation

. Lead research and development for new specialty yarns to meet emerging customer needs.

. Scout and implement cutting-edge yam technologies, fibers, and sustainable solutions.

• Drive continuous improvement in product performance and process reliability.

Quality Assurance

. Establish rigorous quality standards for specialty yarns based on client and industry requirements.

• Manage testing, certification, and troubleshooting of yarn properties (strength, fineness, dyeabilty, etc.).

• Develop systems for traceability, defect reduction, and customer complaints management.

Team Leadership

• Guide, mentor, and motivate cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, and QC staff.

• Conduct training and foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and safety.

• Facilitate knowledge transfer on specialty yarn technologies within the organization.

Supply Chain & Vendor Management

. Source specialty raw materials (fibers, filaments, additives) and maintain strong vendor relations.

. Negotiate contracts and ensure timely, cost-effective procurement and inventory management.

Customer & Stakeholder Engagement

. Work closely with sales, marketing, and design teams to understand market requirements.

, . Support customer technical queries, provide samples, and participate in business development activities.

. Represent the specialty yarn division at industry events, exhibitions, and client meetings.

Compliance & Sustainability

• Ensure compliance with relevant environmental, safety, and regulatory standards.

. Promote sustainable practices, including recycled content, reduced resource use, and eco-friendly production.

Qualifications & Skills

Requirement Details

Education Bachelor's/Master's degree in Textile Engineering, Polymer Science, or related field

Experience 8+ years in yarn developmenVproduction, with 3+ years in a leadership or R&D role

Technical Expertise ln-depth knowledge of specialty yam technologies, spinning systems, and fiber properties

lnnovation Proven track record in developing and launching new yarn products

Leadership Strong people management, project leadership, and strategic planning skills
