IT Engineer

• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware and networking systems, including PCs, routers, switches, and wiring.
• Diagnose and resolve computer hardware, networking, and system issues promptly, including fault finding and primary repairs.
• Set up and manage network devices, configure network protocols (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN), and ensure optimal network performance and security.
• Install, update, and troubleshoot various operating systems (Windows, Mac OS) and related software.
• Provide technical support and assistance to staff.
• Perform regular hardware and network audits, system backups, and upgrades to maintain infrastructure reliability and security.
• Monitor system and network performance, applying diagnostic tools and implementing improvements to minimise downtime.
• Support software installation, system updates, and patch management to ensure systems are protected and compliant.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair.
• Good understanding of networking protocols (such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), and configuring network devices.
• Thorough knowledge of installing, configuring, and troubleshooting operating systems.
• Ability to resolve hardware, software, and network issues independently.
• Familiarity with IT security best practices, including basic firewall, antivirus, and patch management.
