Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical/Electrical and Instrumentation Technician to join our maintenance and operations team. The technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical systems, electrical equipment, and instrumentation/control systems to ensure maximum plant efficiency and reliability. Key Responsibilities: Mechanical Duties: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on pumps, motors, valves, compressors, gearboxes, and other mechanical systems. Align and balance rotating equipment using appropriate tools and techniques. Read and interpret mechanical drawings, manuals, and specifications. Participate in equipment overhauls and preventive maintenance programs. Electrical Duties: Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems including motors, switchgear, lighting, and power distribution panels. Conduct testing, calibration, and inspection of electrical equipment to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards. Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and single-line diagrams. Instrumentation & Control Duties: Calibrate, maintain, and repair field instruments including pressure, temperature, flow, and level transmitters. Maintain PLCs, HMIs, control loops, and signal wiring to ensure proper process control. Troubleshoot DCS/SCADA system components and communication networks. The role also involves inventory management, vendor consolidation, digital procurement initiatives, sustainability, energy efficiency, lead time improvement, biodegradable packaging development, standardization, improved ARC coverage, VMI and cataloguing, imported spares sourcing, audit handling (ISO/internal), service contracts, SORs, and digital procurement for guesthouse and dispensary needs. Key responsibilities are not limited to those mentioned above and may evolve as per business requirements. Ensure timely procurement of MRO, Capex, and Packaging materials within the approved budget. Handle procurement of rotary and static equipment such as pumps, compressors, boilers, chillers, lime kilns, carbonation towers, scrubbers, dryers, calciners, belt filters, blowers, agitators, pressure vessels, reactors, heat exchangers, tanks, centrifuges, turbines, RO Nano plants, and other power plant equipment. Source bulk materials like plates, structural items, piping, cement, etc. Drive automation and continuous improvement in procurement processes. Develop and maintain a robust vendor network; monitor performance and ensure effective implementation of vendor development initiatives. Address and resolve user concerns related to procurement and delivery. Plan, prioritize, deploy, and review task completion effectively; demonstrate strong problem-solving in crisis situations. Ensure 100% PR to PO conversion within 15 days. Improve lead time and increase VMI adoption. Consolidate vendor base and expand ARC coverage to reduce transactions. Standardize items and brands across categories. Monitor contracts and control inventory levels. Lead development of biodegradable packaging and standardization of biomass briquettes.
