Job Description

Own the quality of all design deliverables issued to EPC projects, ensuring technical correctness, completeness, adherence to codes, and constructability.
Ensure all engineering outputs (P&IDs, layouts, models, datasheets, drawings, MTOs, specifications) meet client/contract requirements
Lead quality governance for Concept → Basic → Detailed Engineering → IFC → As Built.
Implement stage-gates, discipline-wise checklists, model reviews, and design validation procedures.
Ensure compliance with applicable standards:
ASME, API, AISC, ACI, IS/IEC, EN, AWS, NACE, NFPA, and client specifications.
Approve deviations, design waivers, and technical clarifications for EPC projects
Ensure designs are constructible, modular, maintainable, and aligned to site conditions.
Reduce design-originated rework and site variations.
Integrate inputs from Construction, Commissioning, SCM, and Vendors.
Govern Design Change Notes (DCNs), RFIs, TQs with complete impact assessments.
Drive vendor data integration into engineering models and deliverables.
Control versioning, transmittals, and documentation integrity.
Conduct internal design audits; close findings with discipline leads.
Track design error trends, RFIs, clashes, and rework.
Publish cross-project lessons learned and Golden Rules for engineering
Train discipline engineers on quality standards, DoD (Definition of Done), checks, and best practices.
Strengthen engineering teams’ ability to deliver accurate and constructible designs
