Head Pre Primary/ Senior Wing Coordinator

PRE-PRIMARY HEAD & SENIOR WING HEAD

Role Summary

The Pre-Primary Head and Senior Wing Head provide academic and administrative leadership for their respective sections. They ensure quality teaching, student well-being, staff development, and smooth daily functioning aligned with the schools vision.

Key Responsibilities

1. Academic Leadership

• Oversee curriculum planning and classroom delivery.
  
• Ensure alignment with NEP/board guidelines.
  
• Monitor lesson plans, assessments, and student performance.
  
• Promote innovative and age-appropriate teaching practices.
  

2. Staff Supervision

• Lead and guide teachers; conduct observations and feedback.
  
• Plan teacher duties, timetables, and training sessions.
  
• Encourage collaboration within teams/subject departments.
  

3. Student Development

• Ensure academic progress, discipline, and emotional well-being.
  
• Plan remedial/enrichment programs.
  
• Pre-Primary: ensure nurturing, safe environment.
  
• Senior Wing: oversee board exam readiness and career guidance.
  

4. Parent & Community Engagement

• Conduct PTMs, orientations, and counselling sessions.
  
• Address parent concerns and share student progress.
  
• Build external partnerships (especially for senior students).
  

5. Administration & Operations

• Manage records, attendance, schedules, and events.
  
• Ensure safety, resource management, and smooth operations.
  
• Support annual academic planning and compliance requirements.
  

Differentiated Responsibilities

Pre-Primary Head

• Lead early childhood pedagogy (play-based, experiential).
  
• Oversee developmental milestones, hygiene, and child safety.
  

Senior Wing Head

• Manage senior school academics (Grades 9–12).
  
• Lead board exam preparation, discipline, and college/career readiness.
  

Qualifications & Skills

• Relevant degrees (ECE for Pre-Primary; Master’s/B.Ed./M.Ed. for Senior Wing).
  
• Strong leadership, communication, planning, and people skills.
  
• Experience in school leadership and modern pedagogy.
