Head of Security

As the Senior Vice President, Head of Security ASIA at Jefferies, you will play a crucial role in shaping the information security strategy and engineering direction for the organization. Reporting directly to the local Chief Information Officer (CIO) and global Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), you will oversee and manage all security aspects for the organization in the region. The ideal candidate must possess strong technical skills, be adaptable to the fast-paced financial services environment, and demonstrate exceptional communication skills. Key Responsibilities: - Lead a team of security personnel across multiple domains such as Security Operations, Global Security Administration, Physical Security, Data Security Analytics, and Network Security Engineering. - Provide strategic security guidance and direction for high-performing teams. - Drive the vision and direction of security solutions through active participation in the information security market. - Conduct technical vendor security reviews. - Implement security measures in collaboration with application and engineering teams. - Identify and address emerging technology threats proactively. - Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies. - Conduct information security awareness and training programs. - Ensure alignment of technology risk management practices with industry standards. - Participate in global security initiatives. Required Background: - Extensive knowledge of information security principles and best practices. - Ability to effectively communicate with senior management and stakeholders on security issues. - Expertise in ensuring compliance with cybersecurity regulations and frameworks. - Experience in systems, applications, or architecture planning. - Experience in driving security awareness programs. - Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. - Knowledge of data governance challenges. - Experience with Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC). - A degree in information technology. - Agile experience. - Fundamental knowledge of AWS and/or Azure IaaS/PaaS services.
