Head of Sales- General Trade

As a Head of Sales (General Trade) at Urban Platter, you will play a pivotal role in spearheading nationwide sales operations, expanding the network, and strengthening market presence across India. Your responsibilities will include: - Sales Target Planning & Achievement: Drive primary and secondary sales target planning, execution, and achievement. - Team Management: Lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing sales team to achieve objectives and deliver consistent results. - Distribution & Channel Management: Appoint and manage distributors and retailers to strengthen product reach and market penetration. - Market Development: Identify and develop new market opportunities, expand outlet coverage, and enhance product visibility at retail counters. - Sales Strategy & Planning: Design and implement effective sales strategies and promotional plans to meet business goals. - Market Analysis: Track competitor activities, analyze sales data and trends, and bridge performance gaps through actionable insights. - Reporting & Compliance: Present regular sales performance reports, monitor budgets, and ensure compliance with company policies and statutory norms. You should possess: - 9-12 years of proven experience in FMCG General Trade sales. - Strong leadership and negotiation skills. - Excellent understanding of distribution networks and retail dynamics. - Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach.
