Role Overview: As a Product Engineering Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing all activities within the Product engineering department, focusing on Helmet, Body Armor, and Vehicle Protection development and testing. Your role will involve providing expert technical knowledge throughout the Product Engineering life cycle, leading a team of Product Engineers, and collaborating closely with the Product Manager on new product development plans. Additionally, you will be tasked with conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) for any customer complaints related to Product Engineering. You will also have full budgetary responsibility for the department and will be instrumental in implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance training, working practices, and processes. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and manage a team of Product Engineers - Collaborate with the Product Manager on new product development strategies - Conduct RCA and CAPA for customer complaints related to Product Engineering - Manage the budget for the Product Engineering department - Identify deficiencies and recommend changes in training, practices, and processes to drive continuous improvement Qualification Required: - M.Tech/ B. Tech in Material Science / Composites Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering, Polymer engineering or Equivalent - Prior experience in designing Ballistic equipment such as Safety Armor, Helmets, Shields - Experience leading a team of 30+ members - Experience in Business development and Customer demonstrations Additional Details: The company is located in Kanpur (U.P.) and is seeking a candidate with 20 years of overall experience, including 8 years in a design lead role. The ideal candidate should possess knowledge of ballistic materials, energy absorption composites, protective armor end material fabrication, 2D drawings, physical and mechanical properties of safety equipment materials, cost estimation, project feasibility study, and experience working in cross-functional teams for developing new products and technologies in regulated environments.,
