KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The incumbent will primarily be in charge of:
Supply Chain Management (SCM)
- Oversee and manage companys overall Supply Chain, Procurement and L:ogistics Strategy and Pperations in order to maximize the process efficiency and productivity.
- Play a crucial role in developing and maintaining good relationship with Vendors and Distributors.
- Support the business in achieving the profitability targets by ensuring a continuous supply of material by maintaining optimum levels of Inventory.
- Ensure the customer demand is dynamically gathered and coordinate with Production & Design, Procurement functions to ensure that products are shipped to customer on time at the best possible cost.
- Coordinate with Production, Planning, Quality and Purchase departments on dissemination of customer requirements and alert priorities to ensure smooth supply chain.
- Identify Cost Drivers within supply chain processes, initiate cost saving measures.
- Leading a team and providing direction for continuous improvement.
- Ensuring materials are available when needed. JIT
- Identifying and Managing Risks that could affect the supply chain.
- Planning and implementing logistical strategies.
Spares Planning & Management
Oversee the spares planning team to optimize scheduling, capacity, and resource allocation, ensuring on-time delivery of Spares.
Stores & Logistics Management
- Oversee the stores and logistics teams, ensuring efficient Storage, accurate Inventory Tracking, and Timely Dispatch of Materials and Finished Goods.
- Work closely with the stores and logistics teams to manage Inventory Accuracy, reduce Carrying Costs, and optimize storage solutions.
- Maintain inventory level to control Inventory Carrying Cost and provide monthly report.
- Implement FIFO System and control the aging of non-moving materials .
- Implementation of Supply Chain Management concept.
Design Team Leadership
- Guide the Electrical and Mechanical Design teams to develop innovative, reliable, and customer-focused designs that meet safety and quality standards.
- Ensure close collaboration between Design, Production, and Service Teams to enhance manufacturability, ease of assembly, and product performance.
- Implement innovative and competitive ideas to match the global standards without compromising quality and cost.
- Coordinate with design team for timely submission of drawings for approvals in line with clients requirement.
- Emphasize on Design optimization and standardization.
- Ensure timely release of drawings as pre the manufacturing requirements.
- Understand Training Needs of the employees to match the global standards.
- Take the lead in developing New Product with Cost Effectiveness to compete in the market.
Service Management
- Monitor and Control the Sites PAN India and ensure timely completion and handover as per schedule and in line with customer satisfactions.
- Develop and track service metrics, continuously improve Response Time and Service Quality.
- Ensure all Contractual obligations are fulfilled before Handover.
- Responsible for Payment Collection related to site and retention before closure.
- Monitor Site Engineers Resource Planning and effective utilization.
- Control site expenses and budget to avoid cost overrun.
- Finalize Rrection Contractor within the budget and timeline.
- Increase Brand Value by maintaining healthy relationship with customer and deliver exceptional After-Sales Support Service.
Operations Strategy & Development
- Develop and implement a comprehensive operations strategy that aligns with business objectives, optimizing efficiency across all teams.
- Be responsible for post order activities, from inception to closure.
- Work with HR to plan Workforce Needs, address Skill Gaps, and implement Training Programs to build technical expertise within teams.
- Promote a Culture of innovation, encouraging cross-functional teams to identify and implement efficiency improvements.
- Drive Continuous Improvement processes.
- Manages all operational aspects including Productivity, Cost, Planning and Business Processes
- Effectively manage employee relations including Hiring, Discipline, Rewards and Recognition, and effective Human Capital allocation.
- Lead Operational Excellence initiatives to improve efficiencies.
- Manage and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of Support Services, through improvements in coordination and communication between support and business functions.
- Develop, retain and nurture Talent to support succession planning ensuring appropriate Coaching, Mentoring and L&D.
New Product Development
- Ensure that new products are developed efficiently, cost-effectively, and with the highest quality standards by overseeing and optimizing the processes that transform a design idea in to a market-ready product.
- Feasibility Analysis, Resource Allocation, Cross-functional collaboration, Risk Mitigation, Cost Control, Process design, Capacity Planning, Supply Chain Integration, Quality Assurance, Lunch and Delivery Management.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- 15+ years of HR experience, preferably in HEAVY ENGINEERING INDUSTRY
- Proven leadership and management skills
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, labour laws, and regulations
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with HR systems and analytics
- Professional certifications like SHRM-CP, HRCI-PHR, or CIPD
- Master's degree in HR, Business, or related field
