Head of International Business & E-commerce

Role Overview: India Designer Show is looking for a dynamic and proactive Head of International Business & E-commerce to represent the company in a partnership with International Design Studio. As the SPOC, you will bridge the gap between the Indian design ecosystem and the US eCommerce landscape. Your responsibilities will include leading international expansion efforts, coordinating US-based design shows, managing eCommerce operations for Indian designer products, driving sales, and ensuring exceptional brand representation for long-term growth and cultural exchange. Key Responsibilities: - Act as the primary liaison between India Designer Show and International Design Studio, managing communications, aligning project timelines, and resolving operational challenges. - Assist in planning and executing US-based pop-up shows and design events, including vendor coordination, logistics, and representation. - Oversee all eCommerce operations for Indian designer products on the International Design Studio platform, including product listings, inventory management, order processing, and returns/exchanges. - Coordinate international shipping, customs clearance, and delivery within the US, track shipments, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with import regulations. - Drive eCommerce traffic and sales through cross-promotions, partnerships, and targeted outreach to US buyers. - Monitor market trends, gather feedback, and provide reports on partnership performance. - Ensure cultural sensitivity and high standards in promoting Indian designers to an international audience. - Build relationships with US-based retailers, media, and design communities to expand visibility of Indian products. Qualifications Required: - Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Fashion/Design, International Relations, or related field. - Experience: Minimum 5+ years of hands-on eCommerce experience, international trade experience, and proficiency in business development. - Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and eCommerce platform proficiency. - Personal Attributes: Adaptable, culturally empathetic, results-oriented, and passionate about global design innovation.
