Head of Finance and Accounting - Gas Industry

A Chief Financial Controller oversees all accounting operations, ensures financial reporting accuracy, and provides strategic financial guidance. Key duties include managing the accounting team, preparing financial statements, developing budgets, forecasting, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This role involves both tactical day-to-day management and strategic analysis to support executive decision-making and optimize profitability. Key responsibilities

• Financial oversight:

  Lead all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.

• Financial reporting:

  Oversee the preparation of accurate financial statements, such as profit and loss statements and balance sheets, for management and executives.

• Budgeting and forecasting:

  Manage the budgeting process, monitor budget variances, and forecast future financial performance.

• Strategic analysis:

  Analyze financial data and provide reports and recommendations to help management make strategic decisions and improve financial performance.

• Compliance:

  Ensure compliance with all government regulations, tax laws, and industry standards.

• Internal controls:

  Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.

• Auditing:

  Coordinate with external auditors and manage the internal audit process.

• Team management:

  Hire, train, and manage the accounting and finance team.

• Cost reduction:

  Identify opportunities to reduce costs and increase profitability.

Typical duties
